The problem of Ufo's is, as you rightly say, a very fascinating one. Carl Gustav Jung
Like many I have been reading very passionately the fantastic works of Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov and Philip K. Dick - while being very attracted to innovative TV series and movies like the Star Trek and Star Wars.  Science fiction did not only enthralled us with distant and adventurous space travel, exploring (or rather trying to imagine) the unknown in space, but also reinforced the idea that we are not the only intelligent life in the universe.
A leading psychiatrist like Carl Gustav Jung was incensed by the assumption that our planet would be visited by UFOs. This somehow lives deep in our subconscious and even has a mythological component.
I have missed several UFO sightings by all but a few seconds. The witnesses I met were very convincing and certainly did not make up a story. Their experience was clearly something extremely overwhelming. The magnetic force field between the sighting itself and the search for a logical explanation, which may or may not be possible, in our current and future science - has intrigued me as a photographer and artist for a very long time.
In The Visitors, an Outer Space Novel, I try to approach this tension from a more artistic point of view, from our everyday surroundings. In order to better comprehend this, I have also visited a number of UFO-sensitive places. It is absolutely no conspiracy theory, but dragging the viewer into a bizarre world where there is more around than just you and me. This work was consolidated in the format of a conceptual artist's book - in which I explore my own artistic truth by using both photographic and printmaking techniques.

In the end this project has become an extremely fascinating journey. I was selected by the Breedbeeld organization for the Opus One '21 group exhibition at the Concert Hall Bruges (Belgium), part of the Bruges Photo Festival.
A selection of my work was published in the bookwork related to the exhibition, Breedbeeld, Opus One '21.
